Who We Are
Tracy Newell is president of MeetingWise LLC, an independent meeting planning and consulting company that she opened in 2001. She has been in the hospitality and meeting planning industries for over 25 years. Ms. Newell is a Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) and has achieved her global certification in meeting management (CMM), a strategic management certification held by approximately 500 worldwide. Her background includes four years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and 12 years with the American Youth Soccer Organization. She has managed and produced a variety of meetings (regional, national and international), training sessions, trade shows and events in most of the 50 states, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Her events have ranged in size from 10 to over 10,000. Ms. Newell has worked extensively with all of the major hotel companies, a number of university sites, many local convention and visitors bureaus and several convention centers.
The qualifications and skills Tracy brings to our team include a strong operations background, extensive project management experience, exceptional negotiation skills and established relationships with vendors and industry suppliers. Having worked for and with many associations and non-profits, Tracy uses her unique diplomatic skills to work with multiple personalities and agendas often found in associations and non-profits to successfully manage time sensitive projects within strict budget constraints.
